B Des (Arch) Hons + M. Arch
Lauren graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Design with First Class Honours and a Masters of Architecture in 2015.
Lauren was lucky enough to begin her architectural career working on Heritage Residences in Brisbane, and through this industry exposure she has developed a great appreciation for Heritage Architecture, the Queensland vernacular and subtropical design. At TONIC, she contributes to the design, documentation and delivery of a range of projects both architectural and interiors, and is able to use 3D modelling software and hand sketching to aid the design process.
Lauren recently spent many months traveling Europe and some parts of Asia, which has awarded her with a unique cultural perspective which she brings to TONIC. Her travels played a large part in her interest in conservation, balancing the old with the new, and why she finds delight in architecture which purposefully connects us to place and more specifically, our natural environment.
