Contemporary bardon

This new house is set on a vacant tree filled block of land in an older established suburb within 7km of the city. The design centres around accommodating the clients desire for a modern but environmentally sensitive house which captured vistas to the street (East and South East) and an established creek and bush habitat to the rear (West and South West). Consideration was given in the design to accommodate a typical family of 2 + 2 with room for guests, room for play, crafts, sleep, entertaining and escape. The resultant design formulated around a series of adaptable spaces which can open out or close down dependant on their required function. Whimsical touches such as an indoor fish tank and children’s’ slide beside the main stair serve to accommodate the clients individual personalities.
